Donning the Mask

"Donning the mask"  (Nose pads are optional)

Form the plastic mask outward and snap on the filter. Adjust the neck straps around your neck. If needed, remove and adjust the nose pads for airtightness. Optional: For a conventional look, place the fabric mask over the filter and mask using the ear straps. For different face sizes and beards, use a second fabric mask around the neck area. With your right and left fingers, press down on the plastic mask and breathe in and out to mold the plastic mask to your face for airtightness. (both sides of the nose area). Note: The bottom plastic mask elastic strap is not to be placed over the ears but around the neck. The top plastic mask elastic strap may be placed around the ears or around the neck for airtightness. Both straps are adjustable.

Seal check by covering the one-inch filter opening for airtightness.

It's normal for the silicone air-filled bladder to touch the side of your mouth/lips for airtightness when speaking and making facial expressions.
